Instinctools has recently identified a concerning trend involving the misuse of our brand by illicit online groups. These entities have been operating under names such as “Instinct Tools” , which closely resemble our established company name, in order to carry out fraudulent activities.
The cybercriminals have been posting false job advertisements and offering services that claim to protect users’ devices from viruses. Victims who responded to these deceptive offers unknowingly installed malicious software, which subsequently locked their systems. The perpetrators then demanded ransom payments in exchange for restoring access to the affected devices.
Instinctools condemns these malicious actions and has taken immediate and decisive steps to address this threat. We are actively collaborating with the victims and have reported the incidents to the relevant authorities. At the authorities’ request, fraudulent domains associated with these schemes have already been blocked by domain registrars.
We strongly advise all individuals to exercise heightened caution and follow established information security practices. Please avoid granting access to your devices to any party unless you are certain of their legitimacy.
